I take great pleasure in exploring the journey of mark-making and discovering where it can lead. I am fascinated by the balance between control and surrender—how much the medium allows me to direct it, and how much it resists.
In my earlier performances, themes of manipulation and control often emerged, driven by an undercurrent of anxiety.
The act of trying to control something offered a sense of calm.
Now, I see mark-making itself as a performative act—one that is both freeing and grounding. Working with ink has become a way for me to embrace this tension, transforming it into a calming and meditative part of my practice.
