My art college training was in Environmental Design in Bournemouth followed by a course in Interior Design at the London College of Furniture. I worked as an Interior designer and Office Space Planner but neither satisfied all my creative needs, that only happened after moving to the Borders where I learnt to paint and print.
I was born in North Wales and was brought up on the Isle of Anglesey where the land and sea had nurtured and inspired, and through painting with watercolour, the expansive Border landscape opened up to me. I made cards of the images, learnt how to use Photoshop and enjoyed the printing and design process. I also worked as a Painting and Life-Drawing Tutor at the Border College, and set up my own life-drawing group.

In 2016 I enrolled for two years on the Printmaking course at Leith School of Art, which was life changing. I won the 'Stern Award' for Printmaking and learnt about, lino-cut, woodcut, screen printing, collagraph and mono-printing.
Through printmaking I have found it easier to express my innermost responses to the natural world and in my recent work I've used images of seeds, beans and pods having become fascinated by the beauty of their design and potential for life.
